Nancy Linthicum is a doctoral candidate in Arabic Language and Literature in the department of Near Eastern Studies at the University of Michigan. She is currently writing her dissertation on modern Egyptian literature, and when not in Ann Arbor, she is usually in Cairo.
Michele Henjum learned Arabic in Morocco, Syria and Egypt and has an MA in Comparative Literature from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center. She lives and works in Cairo as a translator.
